We received this question in email so we are sharing the answer to it in this forum to benefit others who may have the same goal.

Question: I work for a microwave oven manufacturer and I need to find out about all of the SASO regulations that need to be met in order to export microwave ovens to Saudi Arabia. Can you help me?

Answer:

The Saudi Arabian Standards Organization (SASO) is responsible for setting standards, weights and measures. Manufacturers and exporters who want to export/do business with Saudi Arabia should ensure that their products comply with SASO standards. All appliances are inspected on arrival to ensure that they meet SASO specifications.
