Endovenous Laser Treatment (ELT)
Endovenous laser treatment (ELT) is an alternative to surgical stripping of certain underlying veins that are the source of surface varicose veins. Endovenous laser treatment is done in-office under local anesthesia. It works by heating the inside of the vein, which causes it to seal shut and disappear.
This diode laser system is ideal for vascular, excellent for treating superficial reflux of the great saphenous veins, reticular vein, spider veins, vascular lesions, and many other applications. SurgiLas virtually eliminates collateral tissue damage and maintains a controlled depth of laser penetration, resulting in minimized patient discomfort and recovery time.
Operating at a wavelength of 810nm, 940nm, 980nm, in the near infrared, SurgiLas provides good haemostasis effect and bloodless operating due to high absorption in melanin and haemoglobin, even in high vascular areas such as nasal polyps.
SurgiLas can be used in two ways: By using the fiber in a so-called “contact” mode with the tow for incision, excision, vaporization or coagulation of tissue that generates a narrow zone of coagulation, or in a so called “non-contact” mode for vaporization and coagulation with deeper coagulation of 1-3mm.
