Product Description:
Sidewall belt conveyer or also known as corrugated wall side conveyer are normally used to transport
loose bulk material such as coke, coal, limestone, sand and gravel. A specialised conveyer belt with side walls are used to be able to transport loose bulk material. Sidewall belts are able to transport material up a steep incline up to 90 degree. The side walls also increases the carrying capacity of the conveyer. Vulcanization process of the rubber greatly enhances the adhesion of the sidewalls to the base belt eliminating the need for bolting the sidewall to the base belt. Greater adhesion also prevents the sidewall from lifting and separating from the base belt, extending the belt life.
Working Principle
The loose bulk material will be deposited onto the conveyer belt through a guide chute. The conveyor belt at this point will be supported by impact conveyer roller to sustain the impact. The system is divided into four, the first is where the flat horizontal surface that will be pinch into incline which are called concave. Another one would be when the belt goes from an incline back to horizontal which is called convex. Bulk material will then be discharged and the conveyer belt will return back supported by the return conveyer roller. Upon returning, the belt will be cleaned by the pat idler. Sidewall belt conveyor is most commonly used in coal and wood-chip fired power stations, underground mining (coal and ore), steel industry, ship loading and unloading, foundry plants, silo feeding industry, waste recycling, soil purification and water treatment, etc.
