Self-lubricated and maintenance-free, suitable for low/middle load, middle velocity application. Exert excellent wear resistance where it's difficult of lubricating film to be formed during reciprocating, oscillating or frequently intermittent operation. It's a cost-saving solution compared with copper alloy based bearings
BIM is a conventional fully-lubricated bimetallic bearing material, based on steel backing with copper sinter layer as the sliding surface. There are four kinds of copper powders available for the possible material as the copper sinter layer:
CuPb10Sn10/CuPb24Sn4/CuPb30/AlSn20Cu. Grooves or pockets on the surface of sinter lining are usually punched as oil or grease reservoirs.
DU is perfect oilless bearing with low-frictional dry lubrication because the lubricants layer contacts directly with the counterpart sliding plane. DU and DX bearings are suitable for the applications required miniatures and lightness with structures that are difficult to supply lubricant oil. They constrain for applications which require the hardness of bearing layer
