Product Description:
Construction of wire mesh is made by the interlacement of wires which form meshes with constant openings.
These
wires are identified as warp and weft wires.
Warp wires are those parallel to length of wire mesh.
Weft wires are those ones parallel to width of wire mesh.
Elements necessary to identify correctly a wire mesh are:
raw material
width and length of wire mesh
identification n° of wire mesh type
wire diameter
The identification n° of a wire mesh can be signified as you like in these ways:
- french n° = number of meshes in a French Inch (mm 27, 78)
- mesh n° = number of meshes in an English Inch (mm 25, 40)
- nit = number of meshes in 50 mm.
- number of meshes in 1 cmq.
Alternatively the type of wire mesh can be identified by the Mesh Opening ( dimension between two consecutive wires).Standard square mesh wire cloths are plain weave manufacturedWith the same mesh openings and wires diameters are also manufactured:
Crossed Wires
Warp and weft wires are interlaced alternatively two by two.
Twill weave wire meshes
In order to compensate the instability of this kind of weave, the interlacement direction is regularly reversed and usually known as reverse twill weaved wire mesh (herring-bone weave).
Woven wire nets
Usually, wire meshes with wires diameters bigger than 1 mm are known as woven wire nets and identified by mesh opening and wire diameter.
