Shea Butter is an ivory-colored natural fat extracted from fruit of the Shea tree by crushing and boiling. Shea Butter is widely used as a base for cosmetic and pharmaceutical preparations. Shea butter is also edible and a healthy replacement as a cooking oil. It is used in the chocolate industry as a substitute for cocoa butter.
