Polycarboxylated Concrete Superplasticizer (water Reduction Agent)
PCA concrete superplasticizer
is polycarboxylate polymer-based composite admixtures. It has the advantages of high range water reducing effect, strengthening effect and slump retention ability etc. It is specially adapted to the production of high durability concrete, self-compacting concrete, high compressive strengths concrete, high workability-retaining concrete, and also concrete with good appearance requirement.
TECHNICAL INDEXES AND PROPERTIES
High range water reduction: Its water reduction can be up to 35% at high dosage rates.
High compressive strengths: Increase the compressive strengths of concrete by 50-120% at the age of 3 days, 80% at the age of 28 days and 30-50% at the age of 90 days.
High slump-retaining ability: Almost no slump loss of the concrete in 2h whatever the temperature is.
Excellent workability : high ability against bleeding or segregation, low resistance and easy for pumping, no bleeding mark or obvious bubble defect and excellent aesthetic appearance.
Low alkali content
No chloride ions and non-corrosion to steel bar
High durability: Effectively improves the frost resistance and carbonation resistance of the concrete. Lower drying shrinkage of the concrete by 20% or more compared to naphthalene-based admixture.
High compatibility: compatibly with a far greater range of cement types and mineral admixtures. Particularly fit for the preparation of high durability concrete and self-compacting concrete with fly ash and ground slag.
Stable performance. no delamination or sedimentation in its shelf life and no crystallization in winter.
Nontoxic, no formaldehyde and no pollution.
SCOPE OF APPLICATIONS
In particular suitable to the preparation of the concrete requiring high durability, excellent fluidity, strong slump-retention ability, high strength and excellent aesthetic appearance.
METHODS OF USE AND ATTENTIONS
The range of the addition rate of PCA normally is 0.6~1.2% (replacing cementitious materials by weight) and can be increased to 1.3-1.8% for ultra-high strength concrete.
Donít mixed with naphthalene-based admixture. If other admixtures, such as retarder or corrosion-inhibiting admixture, are required simultaneously for some special projects, compatibility tests should be conducted beforehand.
Curing. The concrete should be covered and wet-cured after final setting, and surface-cured in winter construction to prevent frost harm.
PCA is in the form of liquid and should be stored and transported in plastic barrel, iron barrel or tank car. The neat weight is 55kg per barrel for plastic barrel and 220 kg per barrel for iron barrel. The product has one year of shelf life when stored in the previously sealed barrel. Avoid frost in the shelf life.
