[Product resource]:A mixture of flavonoids extracted from seeds of the milk thistle, Silybum marianum. It consists primarily of three isomers： silicristin, silidianin, and silybin, its major component.
[Product properties]:Silymarin is a flavonolignan compound extracted from seed peels of the composite medicinal plant, Silybum marianum (L.)Gaertner. It is a yellow powder or crystal powder with bitter taste. It is solvable in acetone, ethyl acetate, ethyl alcohol, Methyl alcohol, and difficult to solvate in Chloroform and insoluble in water. The Principal ingredients are flavonoid flavone substance such as Silybin, Isosilybin, Dehydro-Silybin, Silydianin, Silychristin and Silybin polymer etc.
[Efficiency introduction]:Form a protect membrane for the liver and stop toxic material, especially alcohol and environmental pollutant (pesticide, heavy metal, etc.) invading and damaging the liver. As for some acute liver poisoning diseases, Silymarin has certain detoxication efficiency. Silymarin has strong anti-oxidant function which can protect liver cells from the radical destroy and is more effective than Vitamin E. Silymarin usually promotes the compound of protein and accelerates the process of creating new liver cells, or helps the already damaged liver cells repairing by themselves. Present existing types of Silymarin include oral liquids form such as Silymarin pills, efficacious and beneficial liver pills, and hard capsule of Silymarin lecithin compound.
