Overview / Process Details:
Fatty Acid Chloride, Triethylamine And Toluene Are Subject To A Batch Reaction In A Glass-lined Vessel At 65°c. The Corresponding Ketene And Then The Diketene (akd Wax) Are Formed. The Reaction Mass Is Decanted And Then Extracted. The Extract Is Then Steam Vacuumed Distilled. This Is A Fine Tuned Totally Recovering Process. Toluene As Well As Unreacted Triethylamine Are Recovered In The Work Up And Reintroduced In The Next Batch. The Process Is Automated (abb)
