New Around 1990, This Press Has Only Run Briefly Over A One Year Period And Is In Very Good Condition. It Is A Copy Of An Erie Press Systems Mechanical Forging Press And Comes With The Same Design Features.
Design Features Are As Follows:
• Single Piece Cast Steel Frame
• Crankshaft Mechanism With Mobile Slide - Crank. Blocks Are Wrapped Around The Eccentric Portion Of The Crankshaft Which Is Completely Contained Within The Ram Allowing Transmitting Of Forces Equally Across The Entire Face Of The Ram Resisting Deflection And Providing Greater Dimensional Precision When Loading Is Off Center. There Is No Wrist Pin To Wear Or Deflect.
• The Ram Is Guided At Four Corners Over It's Full Stroke. Guides Are Adjustable To Compensate For Wear.
• Guide Liners Can Be Replaced Without Removing The Ram From The Press.
• Two Auxiliary Vee Guides Are Installed At The Back Of The Press. The Guides Engage Ats The Ram Approaches The Bottom Of Its Stroke And Virtually Eliminate Running Clearance. The Need For Leader Pins In The Bolster Is Eliminated Reducing The Cost Of Tooling.
• Additional Brass Sideliners Give Stability And Positioning Accuracy As The Ram Comes In Contact With The Work.
• High Strength Eccentric Shaft - Forged Of Alloy Steel And Heat-treated, The Main Eccentric Shaft Is Wider And More Massive Than Those On Conventional Connecting Rod Or Pitman Type Designed Presses.
• Heavy-duty Air Clutch
• Upper And Lower Knockouts
