Plant Description
In 1975 The Industrial Works Of A Large City Respectively The Former Electricity Works Had Taken This Plant, Consisting Of A High-pressure Steam Boiler And A Counter Pressure Steam Turbine With Electrical Generator With A Power Of 42 Mw, For The Production Of Electricity Into Service. At This Time The High-pressure Steam Boiler Was Fired With Oil. Because Of The Rapidly Raising Oil Price The Plant Was Only Operated For A Very Short Time. In 1984/85 The Steam Turbine Was Modified For Steam Output And Counter Pressure Operation.
Furthermore The Burners Of The High-pressure Steam Boiler Were Adapted To The Newest Standards Of Environment Protection For Operation With Natural Gas And Light Oil. In The Following Years The Plant Was Only Operated During Very Short Times And With Few Exceptions With Natural Gas.
High-pressure Steam Boiler
This High-pressure Steam Boiler Can Be Fired With Light Oil Or Natural Gas And Is Conform To The Newest Air Cleaning Standards. All Components Of This Steam Boiler Are Free Of Any Asbestos Material. The Boiler Of Conventional Construction Was Only About 30’000 Hours In Operation And Is Therefore Practically New.
