Operating Principle
CHT TECK brand cross flow type closed circuit cooling tower uses water and air as cooling media to exchange heat with the high-temperature fluid that flow inside the coil. Internally equipped with spray water system, coil, fill, drift eliminator, etc., externally equipped with spray water pump, electronic water descaling device, and axial flow fan on top of the coil side. Under the ventilation action of the axial fans, the interior of the cooling tower will become a negative pressure state. During operation, the cooling spray water is evenly and completely covered on the surface of the coil under strong air force. The high-temperature fluid enters into the fluid inlet at top of the coil, and then the fluid flows out from the outlet at bottom of the coil. During this process, the heat of the high-temperature fluid is exchanged by the cooling spray water and fresh air blowing through the coil, and enhanced latent heat evaporative cooling by fresh air, the heat exchange effect is significantly improved. Some cooling spray water vaporizes into water vapor, and exhausted away by the fan and discharged into the atmosphere, during this process it carries away a large amount of heat. At the same time, the moisture in the hot air is intercepted by the drift eliminator and flow back to the spray water basin. The high-temperature spray water that has not been vaporized flows into the fill package and is cooled by the fresh air blowing through it. After sufficient cooling, the spray water flows back to the spray water basin, and then it will be pumped into spray system for continued circulation by the spray water pump. The make up water is necessary to make up the spray water, which is controlled by the float valve equipped in the spray water basin, to make up the spay water lost.
