Product Description:
The core functions of the Engine Oil Control Valve (OCV Valve) can be divided into the following two
major modules, covering lubrication system protection and Variable Valve Timing (VVT) collaborative control:
1. Lubrication System Pressure Regulation
①Dynamic Oil Pressure Limitation
ˇ Installed in the oil passage at the outlet of the oil pump, it limits the maximum oil pressure through mechanical or electromagnetic adjustment to prevent oil passage leakage, seal damage, or oil pump overload caused by excessive oil pressure.
ˇ Automatically triggers a protection mechanism in case of abnormalities to avoid lubrication failure due to insufficient oil pressure in the engine.
②Pressure Stability Assurance
ˇBalances the output pressure of the oil pump with system requirements to ensure stable oil pressure at all lubrication points (such as crankshaft bearings and camshafts) and reduce wear.
2.Variable Valve Timing (VVT) Control
① Dynamic Adjustment of Valve Timing
ˇ Receives ECU pulse signals through the solenoid valve, controls spool displacement to switch oil passages, and drives the VVT controller to adjust the camshaft angle, optimizing valve opening and closing timing.
ˇAchieves optimal intake/exhaust efficiency under different engine operating conditions, increasing torque by 10-15% and reducing fuel consumption by 5-8%.
②Multi-condition Adaptability
ˇDelays valve timing at low speeds to improve idle stability, and advances timing at high speeds to enhance power output.
3.Fault Chain Protection
ˇValve body failure can cause abnormal oil pressure (too high/too low), leading to rich mixture, power loss, stalling, or excessive emissions.
ˇThe integrated diagnostic function can monitor oil pressure fluctuations through OBD to warn of jamming risks in advance.
(Note: Some models integrate the OCV valve with the ECU to further optimize response speed.)
