The Echo™ Series of melt pressure sensors offer quality performance and value for plastic processing utilizing standard configurations and pressure ranges. Echo sensors are designed to meet customer requirements by providing a combination of economic value and performance for general extrusion applications while providing a ±0.2% repeatability when measuring process pressures. Use Echo Series sensors when the application requires a quality measurement for optimized control, but not the costs of all the extra features.
Dynisco has produced field-proven pressure sensors for more than 60 years. Echo was designed with the best engineering practices and is backed by Dynisco with a two full years of warranty – double the protection of comparably-priced sensors.
Echo sensor diaphragms are coated with Titanium Aluminum Nitride, as a standard offering, providing superior performance over less effective Titanium Nitride coatings.
Dynisco technology is widely accepted by OEM’s and end users throughout the world. The Echo Series sensors are available with 3.33mV/V, 4-20mA, 0-5VDC or 0-10VDC outputs designed to work with most industrial controls. In addition to melt pressure measurement, Echo Series offer a optional melt temperature measurement with type J, K thermocouples or RTD. The Echo Series are equipped with a 1/2-20 UNF or M18 thread for installation in standard transducer mounting holes. Additional mounting configurations are available.
Dynisco pressure transmitter Melt Pressure Transmitters with mA Outputs MDT422 Melt Pressure Sensors
Dynisco's MDT-series amplified transducers convert process pressure into an amplified signal for long distance transmission free of noise interference. All models are available in 4-20 mA, 0-5 VDC and 0-10 VDC, 2-, 3- and 4-wire high level outputs. Many of the features found in Dynisco's standard MDA-series have been incorporated into the amplified MDT-series, including proven bonded strain gauge construction for stable operation, a flexible armored capillary between the rigid stem and the amplifier housing and a flush diaphragm. Another advantage is the electrical built-in calibration.
Dynisco pressure transmitter Melt Pressure Transmitters with mA Outputs PT140 General Purpose Melt Pressure Sensors
Dynisco’s 100 Series models are built to handle the extreme environments of hydraulic applications and corrosive media. The contoured pressure sensing diaphragm ensures greater accuracy and provides longer operating life. An internal shunt calibration provides quick transducer and system calibration. A choice of 3 mV/V, 5 V, 10 V or 4 to 20 mA outputs is offered.
Dynisco pressure transmitter Melt Pressure Transmitters with mA Outputs PT46X4 "A" Series

Dynisco pressure transmitter Melt Pressure Transmitters with mA Outputs Vertex Mercury Free Sensors
Vertex™ is a Dynisco melt pressure sensor innovation that matches or exceeds the performance of the traditional sensor. The big differences are that Vertex is more robust, much faster, and significantly friendlier to the environment.
The breakthrough technology lies at the tip of the sensor, where melt pressure is registered directly through a single, more robust diaphragm. Direct measurement eliminates errors that can arise in sensors with complicated internal structures, transmission fluids and moving push rods. The Vertex diaphragm is much thicker than those in other sensors and is made of tough Inconel 718 alloy, which provides a higher level of corrosion resistance than stainless steel. For added protection, the tip is coated with a diamond-hardened DyMax® coating. The sensor walls have been fortified to handle side stresses. With all these features, Vertex is the true definition of a robust sensor, proven to deliver long life and a low cost of ownership.
Vertex design innovation also extends to the speed of response of the sensor. Faster processes and controls demand faster sensing measurements. Vertex is many times faster than traditional sensors improving real time production. Environmental regulations and community conscientiousness are driving sustainability policies and programs in large and small companies. Waste stream reduction and longer life cycles are good for the environment and the budget. Dynisco can assist because Vertex is green, very green. There is no mercury, no NaK, no oil, no Gallium, no fill material what-so-ever. Vertex is also RoHS compliant.
Vertex sensors are available with 3.33mV/V or 4-20mA output signals and designed to work with universal pressure indicators. An optional J-type thermocouple is available to provide a melt temperature signal. Vertex is equipped with a 1/2-20 UNF for installation in standard transducer mounting holes.
