Characteristics of oil cooler (classification introduction):
1, Water cooled oil cooler uses water as
a medium and oil for heat exchange, the advantage is that the cooling effect is better, can meet the requirements of low oil temperature (the oil temperature can be reduced to about 40 degrees Celsius, the disadvantage is that it must be used in places where there is water.
2, Air cooled oil cooler heat exchange with air as medium and oil, and some advantages in the air as the cooling source, basically not limited use, and environmental protection, the disadvantage is that due to the influence of environment temperature, the temperature is high, can't make the oil temperature down to an ideal temperature (air-cooled generally difficult to reduce the oil temperature to higher temperature only 5 ~ 10 ℃).
Issues that need attention
Plate type or corrugated type should be based on the actual needs of heat exchange occasions. In the case of large flow rate and small allowable pressure drop, the plate with small resistance should be selected, and the plate with large resistance should be selected on the contrary. According to the fluid pressure and temperature, determine the choice of removable or brazed type. When determining the plate type, it is not appropriate to choose the plate with too small area, so as not to have too many plates, small flow rate between plates and too low heat transfer coefficient. For larger heat exchangers, attention should be paid to this problem.
The flow refers to a set of parallel flow channels in the same flow direction of a medium in the plate heat exchanger, and the flow channel refers to the medium flow channel composed of two adjacent plates in the plate heat exchanger. In general, several flow channels are connected in parallel or series to form different combinations of cold and hot medium channels.
The process combination form should be calculated according to heat transfer and fluid resistance and determined under the requirements of process conditions. Try to make the convective heat transfer coefficients in the cold and hot water channels equal or close, so as to get the best heat transfer effect. Because when the convection heat transfer coefficients on both sides of the heat transfer surface are equal or close to each other, the heat transfer coefficient gets a larger value. Although the flow rate between the plates of plate heat exchanger is different, the average flow rate is still used to calculate the heat transfer and fluid resistance. Because the "U" shaped single flow nozzles are fixed on the compression plate, convenient disassembly and assembly.
In the design and selection of plate heat exchanger, generally there are certain requirements for pressure drop, so it should be checked. If the pressure drop exceeds the allowable pressure drop, it is necessary to re-calculate the design selection until the process requirements are met.
