Microcrystalline wax is primarily used in adhesives as a viscosity modifier, tackifier, and filler. It

Enhancing cohesive toughness and elasticity: The fine crystalline structure of microcrystalline wax imparts better elasticity, flexibility, and plasticity to the adhesive, making it less prone to cracking.
