Quicking Influenza-A Ag Rapid Test is an immunochromatographic assay for the qualitative
detection of the influenza type A antigen (including the subtype H1N1) from the secretions sample of upper respiratory tract. With accuracy and simple operation, the test can provide an urgent solution for doctors and public health departments in the screening and census of population who may be infected by the prevalent H1N1 type A of influenza (the swine flu).
Quicking influenza A Test is an immunochromatographic rapid test for the visual detection of influenza type A antigen (nucleoprotein) extracted from the nasal swab specimen. The test adopts double antibody sandwich method. When the extracted specimen is added into the test device, the specimen is absorbed into the device by capillary action, mixes with antibody-dye conjugate, and flows across the membrane pre-coated with influenza type A monoclonal antibody. When the influenza type A antigen levels are at or above the target cutoff (the detection limit of the test), type A antigen in the specimen binds to the specific antibody-dye conjugate and are captured by influenza type A monoclonal antibody immobilized in the relative site of test region “T” of the device. This produces a colored test band in the test region. When the influenza type A antigen is absent or below the target cut off, there is not a visible colored band in the test region of the device. This indicates a negative result for influenza type A. To serve as a procedure control, a colored line will appear at the control region (C), if the test has been performed properly.
PACK SIZE:20 tests per kit
Interpretation of the result
Positive: The presence of two bands in both “C” zone and “T” zone.
Negative: only one band appears in “C” zone.
Invalid: No visible band appears in “C” zone even if a band appears in “T” zone. Please repeat the testing for a valid result.
1. Detection Limit: influenza A, 1.2 ×105 TCID50/mL
2. Comparison with another commercial influenza-A test of immunochromatographic assay.
Quicking Flu A test Sensitivity: 223/ 237 × 100% = 94.09%
Quicking Flu A test Specificity: 310/ 328 × 100% = 94.51%
3. The following antigens have been evaluated to be sensitive to Quicking Influenza A Antigen rapid test.
H1N1, excellent sensitive, H3N2, good sensitive
H5 strains, sensivie, H7 strains, sensivive
H9 strains, sensitive
The kit performances have been only evaluated to the above commonly epidemic influenza virus serotypes in human beings. Other serotypes influenza A rapid test may also sensitive to this test. Further evaluation need to be confirmed if there is suspect.
4. Cross- reaction: No cross reaction observed with type B, C influenza virus, adeno virus, Parainfluenza, coronavirus which may cause respiratory symptoms like Influenza A.
