Product Description:Leather textile rubbing color fastness tester
This instrument is used to test the rubbing fastness of
the leather surface. It evaluates the color transfer by determining the degree of "fading" of the leather surface or coating and the degree of staining of the wool felt. During the test, dry or wet white wool felt is wrapped on the friction surface, and then the test piece clamped on the test bench is rubbed back and forth. There are two test methods, dry and wet.
Test principle
The square wool felt on the friction head (with or without additional weights) reciprocally rubs the leather (stretched or not) on the friction platform. After a certain number of times, the wool felt is stained with gray card comparison, and the leather is tested. Compare the faded gray card to determine the grade.
