Product Description:
Mud Gas Separator is also called Poor Boy Degasser. It is mainly used to remove the big bubbles with
the diameter of about ≥Φ3mm. Most of these bubbles are the expanded gas filled in the drilling fluid in the annular of wellbore, which might cause well kick if not to remove it timely.
Drilling fluid with gas goes into the separator and drops along the inner wall. With collision to increase the contact area, it flows downward and becomes a turbulent state which makes gas separate from mud. The free gas goes through the top of vessel and is discharged from the gas outlet. The length of gas export pipe can be determined at the spot.
The drilling fluid without gas flows into the following solids control equipment.
Mud Gas Separator Advantages
1.Material: SS304 or Q345 from BAOSTEEL for body .
2. The whole body: The mud gas separator with the process of the grinding, sand blasting, the 3 layers of painting: epoxy zinc painting as the primer, the epoxy painting as the middle coating, and the polyurethane for the final painting.
3. Separates and discharges the enormous free gas from drilling fluids, including poisonous gases like H2S.
4. Separated gas is carried by discharge lines to a safe area for combustion.
5. The unit is ruggedly built and coated with anti-corrosion epoxy so as to ensure long service life when processing hazardous and toxic gases.
