Product Description:Streptomycin Residue Rapid Inspection Device is a rapid, one step test for the qualitative detection
of Streptomycin in milk samples. The whole time of assay is only approx. 50min.
2. summary
The Streptomycin Residue Rapid Inspection Device is a rapid test to qualitatively detect the Streptomycin in specimen at the sensitivity of 10μg/kg . The major advantages of the one step test device is that results can be observed by visual inspection and that all reagents are included in the test device.
3. principle
The basis of the test is the antigen-antibody reaction. The one step test device is a competitive immunoassay in which the detector reagent consists of colloidal gold particles coated with affinity purified anti-Streptomycin antibodies. The capture reagent in the assay is a Streptomycin -protein conjugate, which is immobilised on the membrane of the test device. In the test procedure, specimens migrate over the membrane. The more analyte in the sample, the more effectively it will compete with the Streptomycin immobilised on the membrane for binding to the limited amount of antibodies of the detector reagent. Streptomycin, if present in the specimen above 10μg/kg, will thus prevent the binding of the detector reagent to the Streptomycin immobilised on the membrane, resulting in a positive result.
