GOSPELL's Transmitter Remote Monitoring & Control System, is such a system that can monitor and control
transmitters with various power grades remotely based on GPRS wireless communication technology. This system is comprised of GPRS wireless M&C unit and transmitter remote M&C software. It monitors real time operating status, and perform reliable management and control. With its simple and clear user interface and complete system log management function, as well as supporting of history data chart auto-generation, it provides the user with the first hand data for malfunction analyzing.
GPRS wireless monitoring and control unit gathers real-time data from the transmitter and executes remote commands for monitoring and control of the transmitter, and then encapsulates the gathered data into transparent data format which will later be sent to the GPRS communication server in the M & C Centre through internet connection wirelessly. The M&C Centre will analyze the real-time data and performance intelligent control to the transmitter based on the analysis. Meanwhile, the M&C centre will also interact with the provincial M&C centre remotely via network connection.
Main features of the system:
•Outstanding real-time corresponding and processing capability – In comparison with short messaging service, GPRS has the characteristic of real-time online. As a non-delay system, it can receive and process data from multiple monitoring points simultaneously; therefore it does not need data polling from multiple devices to fulfill the needs of real-time data gathering and transmission.
•Device remote controlling – due to adoption of bi-directional GPRS transmission system, M&C centre is able to perform time correction, status reporting, power on/off and other monitoring and control tasks to the device.
•Cost effective solution – makes use of existing GPRS network, activation of system upon device installation.
•Simplified installation, fast implementation – makes use of existing mature GPRS network, requires no trial and testing processes during deployment, ease of installation.
•Wide coverage area – there are not limits for expanding of system, as well as the location of access points due to wide GPRS coverage, able to fulfill the needs of rural, sub-urban and trans-regional connection.
•High data transmission efficiency – theoratical network transmission speed of up to 171.2Kbps, with actual transmission speed of approx. 40Kbps.
•High system transmission capacity – GPRS technology ensures real-time connections between M&C centre and each of base stations by allowing burst transmission from multiple base stations.
•Low operational telecommunication cost: monthly billing of GPRS network brings down operation and maintenance costs.
