Tungsten carbide rings have good thermal conduction property, excellent wear resistance, high impact
resistance and good toughness. Tungsten carbide rings have good mechanical properties, the bending strength may reach to 2200MPa, the impact toughness may reach to (4-6)x106J/m2. The high hardness and wear resistance properties come from the WC, the toughness and strength depend on the binder (Co Ni Cr) properties. The TC rings are widely applied in the production of high speed wire rod, bar and rebar.
