1.1 What Is the Smart Motion Sensor Audio Player
The Athenalarm Smart Motion Sensor Audio Player combines directional recognition, customizable MP3 voice playback, dual-mode lighting, and external trigger output into a single compact device.
When human presence is detected, it can automatically perform one or more of the following actions:
* Play a customized voice message
* Activate motion-triggered or constant lighting
* Provide a wired dry-contact trigger signal to connected alarm panels or automation systems, with optional 433 MHz wireless transmission available on AA-100W and AA-100WR models
It is suitable for retail entrances, office reception areas, hotels and restaurants, banks and financial facilities, jewelry stores, security-controlled locations, industrial facilities, and smart automation projects.
1.2 Beyond a Motion Sensor: A Voice & Security Integration Module
Standard sensors generally provide basic on/off detection. The AA-100 Series adds an intelligent response layer: when movement is detected, the device identifies the direction of travel, plays the corresponding audio file, and/or transmits an external trigger signal through wired dry-contact output or 433 MHz wireless communication (AA-100W / AA-100WR).
This allows connection with compatible receiving devices, alarm panels, access control equipment, and automation systems.
1.3 Two Application Categories
1.3.1 Commercial Interaction
Automatic customer greetings, visitor guidance, and operational instructions — for example, a welcome message at a retail entrance or a safety reminder in a factory zone.
1.3.2 Security Notification
All AA-100 Series models provide security integration capability through dry-contact trigger output, enabling connection with alarm panels, access control systems, and automation controllers.
AA-100W and AA-100WR additionally support 433 MHz wireless signal transmission through compatible receivers, while AA-100R and AA-100WR add Discreet Signal Mode for manual silent security notification in security-sensitive environments.
1.4 Detection & Response Architecture
Because the device supports several independent working modes (see Section 3), it does not follow a single fixed workflow. Depending on the selected mode, one of the following three response paths applies:
Path A — Voice Reminder Modes

AA-100R / AA-100WR only, remote-activated
Manual Remote Activation (press & hold 3 sec) → Continuous Silent Signal Output → Compatible Receiver / Alarm Control Panel → Security Response
Unlike Path B, Discreet Signal Mode does not depend on automatic detection. It is manually engaged from the remote control and immediately sends an active, silent signal, functioning similarly to a discreet duress/panic notification.
No voice is played in this mode, and the remote control is disabled until the device is powered off and restarted.
