Properties and features:
It has high purity, small particle diameters, large specific surface area, high surface activity and low loose loading density, anti high temperature, anti-oxidation, high strength, high hardness, good thermal conductivity, toughness. It is an important high temperature structure material with high melting point, high strength and anti-corrosion. It can absorb more than 99.5% the lower 2 um visible light, reflect the more 2 um visible light and store up energy efficiently. It can be used in specialty fibers, fabrics and textiles.
Applications:
a. New thermal holding and adjusting heat textiles with a few dosages
When the ZrC absorbs the lower 2 um wavelength short waves from sunlight, through transformation, it can store energy in the material. It also can reflect the more 2 um wavelength infrared rays. And the wavelength of infrared rays produced from human body is about 10 um, which will not transpire to external. This make clear that the ZrC has perfect absorption and store of heat It can be used the new thermal holding and adjusting heat textiles.
b. Nylon
adds the ZrC into the cross-section reformed of nylon chiffon, improve two degrees of the inter temperature more than normal nylon. This textile used in producing sportswear.
c. Fiber
When the ZrC or SiC contents reach 4%, the near infrared rays absorption property of the fiber is best. These fibers have the absorption heat and store function. Textiles used these fibers have the function to adjust temperature.
d. Hard-metal-alloy
ZrC is one important high temperature structure materials with high melting point, high strength and anti-corrosion. The perfect feature make itself has large application room in head metal alloy field, which can improve the hardness, anti-corrosion property of hard metal alloy.
