core products is the Air-shield Dam — also known in the industry as the "Inflatable Steel Gate Rubber Dam." It is an innovative water-retaining device that combines the rigidity of steel with the flexibility of rubber, and has been deployed in flood control, irrigation, and water conservancy hub projects across multiple countries.
The device consists of four main components: an impact-resistant steel plate, an EPDM synthetic rubber air bag, embedded anchoring components, and an automated control unit. During operation, the air bag inflates and expands, pushing up the steel plate above it to retain and store water. When drainage or desilting is needed, the air bag is deflated and the steel plate falls back into the dam foundation groove. The entire raising/lowering process takes only a few minutes, significantly improving flood discharge scheduling efficiency.
Compared with ordinary inflatable rubber dams, this product's key differentiating advantage lies in the steel plate acting as an "outer shell" that absorbs external impacts, effectively protecting the inner air bag from direct damage caused by riverbed sand, gravel, driftwood, and ice. This extends the overall service life to more than 30 years. In addition, the equipment is compatible with PLC intelligent control and mobile remote monitoring, supporting scheduled opening/closing and automatic water-level linkage, eliminating the need for on-site manual supervision and significantly reducing labor costs.
For customers in cold regions, an optional electric heating anti-freeze module is available to prevent damage from winter icing.
The product is prefabricated in sections before leaving the factory, allowing for fast on-site assembly and simple maintenance. Main application scenarios include: river water retention, regional flood control scheduling, auxiliary equipment for hydropower stations, river channel desilting and sediment removal, ice-resistant dams in cold regions, and port tide-blocking facilities.
