The geared slewing drive S-I-O-0311 are external gear slewing drive used in automated machinery and equipment. The customer needs to install them vertically. The load of the slewing drives in equipment is very small, the speed is very slow and the torque is also small, but slewing drive require high rotary accuracy. According to the customer’s use requirements, after comprehensive consideration, the engineers of Unique Transmission recommended this type of slewing drives to customer.
The slewing bearing teeth inside the slewing drives are not quenched, because the deformation of the outer ring of the light series slewing bearing teeth is relatively large during quenching, although the end face runout and radial runout of the slewing bearing can be controlled to an ideal value through subsequent processing, but the deformation of the teeth after quenching can only be corrected by grinding teeth, however the cost of grinding teeth is relatively high, also can achieve a good rotary accuracy, but some customers do not need such high accuracy.
At this time, according to the specific working conditions of customer mechanical equipment, the gear rings can be tempered and without quenching. In this way, it is only necessary to control the precision of the tooth machining to ensure the rotation accuracy of the slewing drives, without considering the quenching deformation of the teeth.
